PURPOSE:To suppress the acoustic resonance phenomenon generated when high- frequency lighting is performed with sine waves by forming an electrode on one side and two electrodes on the other side face to face, and connecting commutators with different rectification directions from each other to lead wires connected to two electrodes on the other side. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 12 is sealed on one side and two electrodes 13, 14 are sealed on the other side face to face as a pair at both end sections of a light emitting tube 11, and two electrodes 13, 14 have the same polarity at the time of lighting. Commutators 21, 22 such as diodes with different rectification directions from each other are connected to lead wires 21, 22 connected to two electrodes 13, 14 on the other side. Arcs are generated in turn across the electrode 12 on one side and one electrode 13 on the other side and across the electrode 12 on one side and the other electrode 14 on the other side, and no standing wave is generated. The occurrence of the acoustic resonance phenomenon generated when high-frequency lighting is performed with sine waves can be prevented. |
