PURPOSE:To prevent the consumption of an unnecessary battery by monitoring an interruption detecting signal and a battery discharge-current detecting signal on commercial power service interruption and stopping a DC/DC converter or a DC/AC inverter when both signals reach specified values or less. CONSTITUTION:A rectifier C receiving AC power supply from a commercial input terminal (a) floating-charges a battery (f) while supplying a DC/DC converter or a DC/AC inverter of (d) with DC voltage on commercial feed. A control section (e) controls the DC/DC converter or the DC/AC inverter (d), and monitors an interruption signal from a battery discharging current detector (h) and a service interruption detector (g). When service interruption is generated, the interruption signal is transmitted instantaneously over the control section (e) from the service interruption detector (g). The load side of an interruptible power supply equipment is brought to complete stoppage or a sandby state at that time, and the DC/DC converter or the DC/AC inverter automatically stops oscillation when output currents reach an expected value or less, thus preventing the consumption of the battery. |
