<p>PURPOSE:To prevent obstacles such as corrosion caused by unremoved sulfur, by equipping an adsorbing column in a transportation path of desulfurizing agent from a desulfurizing column to a recovering column and bringing an exhaust gas from a sulfur recovering means into contact with the desulfurizing agent. CONSTITUTION:A regenerated exhaust gas from a recovering column 3 is sent to a reducing column 4, a sulfur dioxide gas in the gas is reduced into a sulfur gas, sent to a sulfur condenser 5, cooled to about 140-160 deg.C, condensed and recovered. A high-pressure exhaust gas from the sulfur condenser 5 is fed through a gas inlet pipe 24 to an adsorbing column 11, perpendicularly brought into contact with a moving layer comprising a desulfurizing agent after desulfurization from a desulfurizing column 2 at about 5-30cm/s flow velocity and by the treatment, unremoved sulfur not recovered by the sulfur condenser 5 in the exhaust gas is adsorbed on the surface of the desulfurizing agent and removed.</p> |
