TRANSFER METHOD OF TRANSFER SHEET FOR OPTICAL DISK

PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation such as warpage of a transfer sheet without heating an optical disk to high temp. by heating the transfer sheet to bond the same to the optical disk by a heat-sealable adhesive under pressure and subsequently peeling off a support from a surface protective layer. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet 2 is supplied from a supply roll 11 to be heated at first by a heating means 12. In this heating means 12, the transfer sheet 2 is heated to about 120 - 140 deg.C in a non-contact state on the side of the adhesive layer of the transfer sheet by a far infrared line heater or a thermocouple heater or in a contact state on the support side of the transfer sheet by a heating roll. Immediately after the transfer sheet 2 is heated by the heating means 12, the transfer sheet 2 is bonded to an optical disk 3 under such a condition that pressure is 5 kg/cm<2> and feed speed is 5 cm/sec by a pressure roller 13. After cooling, the support 21 peeled off by a peel roller 14 is taken up by a taking-up roll 15 and a pattern 2A is transferred to the optical disk 3.
