PURPOSE:To obtain an editing function, whose operation is comparatively easy, to make a fair copy at high level by writing recognized graphic information, information of connection between graphics and separated character information into a memory means as output pictures. CONSTITUTION:The picture information of a bit map inputted by a picture reading means (image scanner) 100 is written in a memory (means) 330 and afterwards divided into characters and graphics. The information divided as graphics is encoded for each small pattern such as a line segment, etc., and converted to vector information. Continuously, the relation of connection between recognized graphics is recognized, and the recognized graphic information, the information of connection between graphics and the information of first separated characters is prepared as output picture information. Thus, an output picture replaced with a registered clear graphic pattern and made into the fair copy is generated. |
