PURPOSE:To improve durability and abrasion resistance to a high speed in the central part in a radial tire having a folded belt structure by setting a pattern block area in the central part larger than the other block area, and also coating a reinforcing cord layer outside of belt layers. CONSTITUTION:In belt layers 2 arranged between a carcass ply 1 and an outside tread part 3, both edge parts 2a' of at least a single layer of ply 2a are folded. In this case, a reinforcing cord layer 4, which consists of textile cords of synthetic fiber substantially at an angle of 0 degree to the circumferential direction of a tire, is coated over the outermost layer of the belt layers 2. An effective area, that is, a ground plane area excluding notch and slit parts for a block 11 of the central part in the tread part 3 is set larger than respective effective areas (a ground plane area excluding notches, slits or non ground plane areas) for a block 12 in a mediate part adjacent to this block and a block 13 in a shoulder part. |
