An electronic taxi passenger signal receiving device, vehicle mounted, comprising a unit which receives a radio frequency signal, emitted by a would-be passenger using a hand held radio transmitter, via an antenna array of several dipoles set geometrically opposed, each dipole wired to a corresponding L.E.D. displayed on the units face, and cabled to the devices discriminating circuitry which will determine which dipole received the signal first and illuminate this antenna dipoles' corresponding L.E.D. to indicate to the driver the direction from which the signal was received, whilst simultaneously triggering an audible tone alerting the driver to the presence of the would-be passenger. |
