PURPOSE:To prevent the falling-off of an expand plate active material and short of a side part by keeping electrolyte holding body on other side face of an expand plate in close contact with allover outside of electrolyte holding body being on its back face. CONSTITUTION:A gastight lead storage battery is provided with an expand plate 1 being filled up with active material in an expand grid. An electrolyte holding body A 2 touches with one side face of the expand plate 1, and an electrolyte holding body B 4 touches with another side face respectively, and the electrolyte holding body B 4 is kept in close contact with overall outside of the electrolyte holding body A 2 being on its back face, and the expand plates 1 are contained in a case of a gastight lead storage battery being laminated by positive plates and negative plate alternately. In this case, the electrolyte A and B in wet condition stick easily to the expand plate face, and the electrolyte A and B stick to each other easily. Thereby it is possible to prevent falling- off of an expand plate active material and short of a side part. |
