[Also in Division G1] A machine for inspecting glass containers B or the like includes a continuously moving conveyer 16 for advancing a line of spaced upright containers. The bottles are spaced along the conveyer by a worm gear 48 driven by a chain 66, thus feeding them to the gauging station. The conveyer is an endless link belt type conveyer driven by a motor. The shaft of the worm gear is resiliently mounted to provide for various sizes of bottles.
