Class 86 [Also in Group VI] Relates to apparatus for making a synthetic resin foam in which a foam is first produced by means of pressurized gas (see Group VI) and including a mixing device for mixing the foam so produced with a hardening agent or resin solution. The mixing device comprises a part 2 consisting of a labyrinth of channel sections 20 separated by partition walls 21 having recesses 24 forming by-pass channels for the foam. The labyrinth is covered by a gasket 25 and cover 26. The foam is forced into the mixing device under pressure from a chamber 19 and mixes with the hardening agent or resin solution forced in from a nozzle 22, the mixture being discharged through an opening 67.
