PURPOSE:To realize the extraction of a desired picture in a short time and through small working load by extracting the feature of a pattern in distribution on specified color space contained in a picture, and extracting the feature of the pattern in the same distribution as this, and extracting a picture part having the same feature as this. CONSTITUTION:A converted picture on the color space is obtained by a color space converting means from picture data taken in to a CPU by a picture input means, and the intrinsic distribution on the color space is specified by a means for specifying partial distribution. Next, a partial picture is taken out by the means for deciding identity by extracting a picture element having the same feature (distribution) as the specified partial distribution. Or the partial picture can be obtained as well by making the taken out picture a mask picture and taking the logical product with the original picture. |
