The invention relates to an anti-theft nut. This nut consists of a body (1) which, at one end, exhibits a screw thread (2), immobilising spikes (3) and, at the other end, a lock (6). On the body (1), the component (8) is free to rotate and immobilised in translation by the stops (9). The component (8) exhibits a shoulder (4) for mounting the cap (5). The external shape of the component (8) is that of a hexagon head. When the owner turns the key (10), the lock (6) causes three entrainment fingers (7) to come out, which penetrate into the three cavities (11) in order to clamp or unclamp the anti-theft nut. When the owner turns the key (10) in the opposite direction, the three fingers (7) return into the body (1), thus releasing the component (8) in terms of rotation. The anti-theft nut is more particularly intended for the axles of motorcycle wheels, in order to prevent the theft of the wheels. <IMAGE>
