<p>PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the formation of N2O by adding at least one kind among an oxygen liberating material, an acidic material and a flammable material to a material to be treated which is thereby converted to a harmless material or a stable material by oxidation or decomposition. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind among an oxygen liberating material (aq. hydrogen peroxide and ozone), an acidic material (phosphoric acid) and a flammable material (oil and pulverized coal) is added to a material to be treated (a gaseous, liq. or solid material can be treated but solid material is preferable) which is thereby converted to a harmless material or a stable material by oxidation or decomposition, and/or the material is oxidized or decomposed in a large excess of oxygen. When the oxidation or decomposition is perfectly preformed, N2O is hardly formed, and the N2O content of the waste gas therefrom is minimized. Accordingly, an earth warming phenomenon is not caused, N2O is not converted to harmful NO in the stratosphere, and ozone depletion is prevented.</p> |
