PURPOSE: To provide a brake booster with a check valve which is easily manufactured, has a simple structure and accurately controls the vacuum communication between the brake booster and a vacuum source. CONSTITUTION: A brake booster 12 is provided with a check valve 36, and the housing of the check valve 36 has a plurality of legs 52 and a disk. The legs 52 penetrating the slots 55 of the shell 30 of the brake booster 12 are provided with tabs hooking the housing on the shell 30. The disk has an annular rib engaging the shell 30 to form a seal to prevent air from entering a chamber 24. The housing is connected to a vacuum source, and a flapper is positioned over a plurality of openings to allow vacuum in a chamber to evacuate air from the brake booster 12. |
