<p>PURPOSE:To achieve high performance in the treatment of an active sludge by controlling an aerating air flow with an estimation of a F/M ratio (organic substance/active sludge in waste water) as expressed in terms of CODCR.ATP (adenosine-3-phosphate) load and a rate of CODCR removal in the disposal of the active sludge. CONSTITUTION:An active sludge treatment control apparatus comprising an aeration tank, an ORP meter 5 (oxidation reduction potentiometer) in the preceding part, a MLSS meter 6 (active sludge concentration meter) in the central part and a DO meter 2 (dissolved oxygen meter) in the trailing part, wherein a sample of mixed solution is harvested from the aeration tank and an ATP value thereof is determined. An aerating air flow is calculated by an operating mechanism 3 using determined values of ORP, ATP and MLSS of said mixed solution according to an operating formula of said operating mechanism. Furthermore, the aerating air flow is finalized by comparing it with another aerating air flow which is calculated with a difference between preset and determined DO values using the operating mechanism 3. A blower 4 is adapted to the so obtained aerating air flow and accordingly high performance can be achieved in the treatment of the active sludge.</p> |
