PURPOSE: To provide an electro-optic mirror assembly capable of achieving the effective protection against the environmental effect and the vibration, making a protection so that no polarity connection is mistakenly made to the electric system of a vehicle, to miniaturize appearance, and to facilitate the maintenance and repair. CONSTITUTION: A vehicular rearview mirror especially adapted for exterior vehicle use with electro-optic/electrochromic mirror units 14 includes a reflective mirror element and a surrounding bezel having a raised edge or crown 58. The raised crown 58 provides an appearance of narrowness, and reduced bezel size. A bezel 50 is, more preferably, thinner than a top part or a bottom part at a side part of the mirror, and the mirror is elastically held between a pair of elastically compressible seals to form a continuous pocket to be sealed from humidity, dirt, water, salt mist or other environmental effects commonly encountered by vehicles on a mirror edge. Opposite polarity electrical connections for the electro-optic mirror unit are provided in different sizes and directions. |
