The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the batch hot-galvanizing of objects (4). These are immersed in a bath (2) of liquid zinc, the surface (2a) of which is skimmed, preferably by automatic means, before the objects (4) are raised up out of the bath (2) once more. The objects (4) and the bath (2) are screened from the surroundings both during and after immersion. The interior of the screening (5) is ventilated during immersion, and it contributes after immersion, through being connected to a ventilation system, to the controllable cooling of the objects (4). At least after immersion, the objects (4) are subjected to repeated vibrations produced by a vibrator (9). |
