Bactericidal synergism of hexamidine and an iodophor used in combination. The invention relates to the antiseptic and/or disinfectant effect of a combination of molecules, hexamidine and an iodophor, whose combined action results in a marked synergistic effect. The reduction of the useful concentrations (by a factor of 4 to 20 fold) makes it possible to reduce toxicity, environmental pollution, and to economise the active substances. This bactericidal composition can be used as surface disinfectant and as an antiseptic on the skin and the mucous membranes.
