The invention relates to a method and a device for automatically cleaning the drains of membrane presses. A pipe cleaner (scraper) (50), including an injection head, is inserted into each drain (11) of the press, in which it performs several inward and outward movements, while being supplied with pressurised water, through the action of drive rollers moved by a gear motor (40), in combination with a device (20) for rolling up the supply piping (30). The cycle is controlled by a programmable robot (automaton), linked to devices for detecting the position of the pipe cleaner (50). Application: extraction of fruit juices. <IMAGE>
