PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition for backing carpets, excellent in room- temperature extensibility, moldability, operating efficiency, bending properties, etc., while maintaining strength and capable of sufficiently satisfying resin characteristics of a backing resin required in extruding the resin composition through a T-die. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition contains (a) 50-80 pts.wt. inorganic filler powder having 50mum maximum particle diameter, (b) 0.2-2 pts.wt. higher fatty acid, (e) 0-40 pts.wt. resin composition of cut pieces of carpets, etc., containing polypropylene, polyethylene and polyamide, etc., (c) 0.5-3 pts.wt. polyolefin polyol and/or 1-40 pts.wt. at least either of (d) ethylene.vinyl acetate copolymer and (f) ethylene.acrylic acid ester.maleic anhydride terpolymer. The resultant resin composition is used to prepare a sheet with a T-die extruder and simultaneously contact bonded to the back surface of a carpet raw fabric to produce the carpets. |
