PURPOSE: To provide a nozzle load transferring system for transferring at least a portion of the thrust load to a relatively stationary portion of an engine, in relation to a gas turbine engine thrust vectorable exhaust nozzle having a flap. CONSTITUTION: Using a track 180 and a track follower 190 arranged between a stationary portion of an engine and vectorable flaps respectively, thrust loads developed on the vectorable flaps are transferred to the track follower and then to the track. The track is adhered to an engine case 11, and has a spherical following surface 182 with a center of curvature on the nozzle's center-line. A divergent flap actuating ring 86 is pivotably received within the track by a plurality of track followers mounted to the actuating ring and in roller bearing relationship with the track surface. The divergent flap actuating ring is connected to a divergent flap 54 via an outside flap 64 to pivot the flap for thrust vectoring.
