PURPOSE:To provide the technology in which a timer of a terminal equipment is calibrated integrally and accurately periodically in the ATM communication network. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a time tone cell transmission section 4 generating periodically A timecast cell 7 storing time information and sending the cell to a terminal equipment 3, the terminal equipment 3 is provided with a timer calibration section 6 and when the timer calibration section 6 receives the time tone cell 7 from the time tone cell transmission section 4, the time tone cell 7 is processed and time information is extracted and a timer 5 of its own terminal equipment 3 is calibrated based on the time information. |
