PURPOSE:To design the buffer capacity surely warranting communication quality relating to abort and transfer delay in a multiplexer. CONSTITUTION:A maximum value relating to a call class among maximum call units in which each call class is singly connected is obtained (steps 101, 102) and when the maximum value exceeds a buffer capacity warranting a maximum allowable delay, a new buffer capacity is decided based on the call unit of each call class and a call loss rate specified value for each call class (steps 103-108). |
