Forestry vehicle with hydraulic drive control - regulates rotation ratio of inner and outer wheels to match curve radius

The vehicle (1) has a 2-part chassis with a pivot linkage (4) between the chassis halves (2, 3) for steering the vehicle (1). At least three driven wheels 7...10) are provided with respective hydraulic motors (10...14), supplied via oil pumps (15, 16) which are driven by an ic engine. The pivot linkage (4) has an associated angle sensor (27) coupled to a control device (24) for control valves (25, 26) regulating the hydraulic flow quantity for the oil pumps (15, 16), to match the rotation ratio of the inside and outside wheels to the curve radius. Speed sensors are provided on each wheel. ADVANTAGE - Improved handling characteristics esp. on forest floor.
