Detachable coupling between two shafts - uses cardan shaft with two double axle cardan joints

The cardan shaft (4) is connected by the first double-axle cardan joint (31, 32) to the drive shaft (1) and by the second double-axial cardan joint (51, 52) to the one half (6) of a separable axially pliable coupling whose other half (7) is fixedly connected to the driven shaft 92). A sleeve (8) pref. encloses the drive shaft, cardan shaft and the half of the coupling connected to the latter. This sleeve then supports with an elastic element (9) e.g. flexible O-ring the half (7) of the coupling connected to the cardan shaft. ADVANTAGE - Axial, radial and angular displacements can be absorbed and automatic clocking is possible.
