<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the construction term and suppress the costs by boring a hole using a boring device from the ground toward that position of a main pipe where a branch pipe is connected. CONSTITUTION:A hole is bored by a boring device from the ground toward that position of a main pipe 3 where a branch pipe 4 is connected, and in this hole a sheath pipe 6 is inserted in the condition that its foremost contacts the main pipe 3. through hole 9 for fitting of a connecting tool is bored in the main pipe 3 in the part where the sheath pipe 6 is in contact, and a cylindrical portion 8 of connecting tool 7 furnished with flange, in which a sealing member 11 is provided in the part confronting the internal surface of the main pipe, is inserted into this through hole 9 from inside of the main pipe 3. This is followed by securing the foremost extremity of the mentioned cylindrical portion 8 protruding into the sheath pipe 6 from the through hole 9, and thereby sealing and coupling are accomplished. Tn this condition, the gap between the branch pipe 9 and sheath pipe 6 is filled with a back-fill material 19, and thus the branch pipe 4 is connected with the main pipe 3 in good sealing performance.</p> |
