PURPOSE:To conduct the optimum moisture control for each kind of transfer paper by obtaining the difference between the optimum and actual humidity values and by controlling the supply of water vapor on the basis of this humidity difference in a humidifying apparatus to be attached to a copying machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 4 and humidity sensor 5 are provided in a tray 3 containing transfer paper 1 and having a freely opened and closed lid 2 and a humidifier 7 for supplying this tray 3 with water vapor is attached to the tray. Then, this humidifier 7 is provided with a humidification controller 6 for controlling the supply of water vapor. This humidification controller 6 is constituted so as to compute the optimum humidity value for the transfer paper from a humidity enumerating device 6a on the basis of a signal quantity corresponding to the present temperature sensed by the temperature sensor 4 and to control the supply of water vapor on the basis of the difference between this humidity value and the present humidity value obtained by the humidity sensor 5. Also, a control means for controlling supply range of water vapor is provided to conduct the control according to the width of the transfer paper. |
