PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of cracks on the surface of polished rice by washing the polished rice, dehydrating the washed rice and subsequently drying the dehydrated rice in a specific stirring drying machine. CONSTITUTION:Polished rice is washed with water in a rice-washing machine 11, dehydrated in a dehydrating machine 12 and subsequently dried in a stirring drying machine 89. In the stirring drying machine, a hollow main shaft is rotatably disposed in a porous wall cylinder, and a stirrer is pivotally mounted. Hot air is led from a hot air generator into the hollow main shaft and blown out from the blowing-out openings of the main shaft into a drying chamber. |
