发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To ameliorate a voltage loss and to improve reliability by interposing extremely thin metallic films in the junctures of picture element electrodes to the semiconductor layers of thin-film transistors(TFTs), thereby attaining a low-resistance ohmic contact. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device is constituted by having substrates 1, 2 facing each other, a liquid crystal layer 3 disposed between these substrates 1 and 2 and the TFTs which consist of the transparent conductive layers of the liquid crystal picture elements arranged in a matrix form on the one substrate 1 and are connected to the picture element electrodes 51 of one side. The extremely thin metallic films 55 consisting of Ti, etc., are interposed in the junctures 94 of the picture element electrodes 51 to the semiconductor layers 4 of the TFTs. The extremely thin metallic films 55 are formed extremely thin and the metallic films 55 do not constitute the overall dense films and are formed to discontinuously scattering island shapes. Then, the good ohmic contact having a resistance contact is obtd. if the picture element electrodes 51 are brought into contact with the semiconductor layers 4 via the extremely thin metallic films 55 interposed therebetween.</p>
