The device is intended for alternative displays of decors, especially of advertising texts and patterns, and is of the type comprising a fixed sectional bar and mutually parallel blades which are linked to a pivoting mechanism, as well as to a movement mechanism. It is characterised in that some of the blades (7) at least comprise means which have to retain, removably, visible interchangeable strips (20 and 21). One of the possible means consists in producing each blade (7) in the form of a transparent sheath in which it is possible to engage either a strip which is printed on the front and back, or two strips (20 and 21) possibly separated by an opaque strip (22) preventing the band situated behind that which is being observed from being perceived by transparency. <IMAGE>
