PURPOSE:To send information efficiently and to attain accurate remote monitor job by forming a transmitter and a receiver as one set, sending compressed picture data of a monitor object area, difference information of a picture change and an identifier specifying the monitor area through a communication line and applying monitor control. CONSTITUTION:A picture monitor consists of a sender side terminal equipment 1 and a receiver side terminal equipment 2 interconnected by a communication line 8. Picture information of a monitor object area by image pickup means 31-3n of the terminal equipment 1 is compressed by a picture data compression section 5, a picture change detection section 6 forms an identifier specifying the monitor area and difference information of a picture change of the monitor object area, and the compression picture data, the identifier and the difference information are sent efficiently to the remote terminal equipment 2 through the communication line 8. Then the remote monitor is accurately implemented via a picture display section 11 of the terminal equipment 2. |
