<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thin cassette loading device at a low cost usable for two kinds of cassettes while maintaining a superior operability of a front loading system exclusively used for a conventional standard cassette by detecting the cassette size without any exclusive switch by the utilization of an optical detecting means for tape end, in the cassette loading device of a magnetic recording/reproducing device capable of recording/reproducing the standard cassette and miniature cassette without using an adapter. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted in such a manner that a detection lever 42 is provided freely rotatably on a shaft 40 integrated with side wall members 4b and the cassette size is detected by stopping up an optical path hole 44 with a light shielding part 43 when the standard cassette is inserted to a cassette holder 1.</p> |
