<p>PURPOSE:To elevate the insulating property by covering the periphery of the spindle-shaped mold insulator made on the conductor connections of cables with a porous heat-resistant support layer having many pores. CONSTITUTION:A spindle-shaped mold insulator 13 consisting of cross- linkageable polyethylene compositions is made, astride the cable insulators 12 on both sides, on the conductor connections 11 of a CV cables 10. Next, this mold insulator 13 is covered with a silicone resin thermoshrinking tube where many pores are bored and it is heated and shrunk to form a porous heat-resistant support layer 14, and then a shape maintaining metal fitting is set. Next, the whole connection is stored in a cross-linkaging kettle 17, and the mold insulator 13 is heated to make a cross-linkage by operating a heater while charging inert gas 19 into the kettle, and discharging it at a certain rate from an outflow port 20. Hereby, the occurrence of the voids or water trees by the moisture of insulating reinforcing substance after cross-linkage is suppressed, and high insulation property can be gotten.</p> |
