<p>PURPOSE:To enhance inter-work performance with a narrow band ISDN by providing an identification means identifying whether a sent cell is transmitted by the fixed bit rate transmission or the variable bit transmission to the network. CONSTITUTION:A broadcast band ISDN terminal equipment 1a connects to two ATM exchange nodes 2a,2b forming a broad band ISDN via a subscriber line interface 3a and also to a B-TE1b at a reception destination via a subscriber line interface 3b. Moreover, a logic path 4 is set between the two ATM exchange nodes 2a,2b. Then the network is provided with an identification means identifying whether a sent cell is transmitted by the fixed bit rate transmission or the variable bit transmission. The identification means writes identification information to identify whether the cell is sent by the fixed bit rate transmission or the variable bit transmission to a cell loss priority bit to identify the cell transmission form.</p> |
