<p>The valve according to the invention includes a rivet with hollow shank (6) which is used to join the elements (3, 4, 5, 10, 11) of the valve together. This rivet with a hollow shank (6) passes through the valve elements (3, 4, 5, 10, 11) and is equipped with at least one radial groove (16, 22) which starts off in its outer or inner wall (17, 18) reducing the thickness of the wall of the rivet (6) in this area. By crushing the rivet (6) with the aid of an axial force, this rivet (6) is deformed radially outwards or inwards into the form of a bead so that it is fixed by clamping to the neighbouring valve elements. When a recess (19, 23) is provided opposite each groove (16, 22), this recess is filled by deformed material of the rivet (6), which produces a strong connection without play.
