PURPOSE:To quickly take an image forming action after jamming is processed by executing an automatic paper ejecting action and an action for raising the temperature of a thermal fixing unit up to the temperature at the time of recording an image, at the same time. A main body judges that the sheet paper 8 is jammed (stayed) in the paper carrying path 9, the main body stops as paper carrying action and the generation of the heat of the thermal fixing unit 2. A user opens a door for processing a jam 6 up to a position 6a shown by a dotted line, the jammed sheet paper 8 is removed. After that, the user closes the door for processing the jam 6, the main body takes the paper carrying action for time enough to allow the sheet paper 8 to pass the paper carrying path 9, and simultaneously, the generation of the heat is started to raise the temperature of the thermal fixing unit 2 up to the temperature at the time of recording, while the user processing the jam. |
