The invention relates to a device allowing the construction of automatic dispensing shops, consisting of an electronic identification and payment cabinet (21) accepting payment cards (9) cards known as: "Electronic Cash Cards" (11) and cheques (6) and delivering, after checking and acceptance, a Shop card (12) enabling the dispensing flaps (19) to be unlocked following selection with the aid of the buttons (18) arranged on the dispensers (20). The reinsertion of the Shop card (12) into the electronic cabinet (21) triggers payment by transferring bar-code elements from the storage memory (28) of the computer to the customer slip (24). A receipt (13) as well as the means of identification: identity card (5) and payment card (9) and (11) are then returned to the customer. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for creating Computer-managed Automatic Dispensing shops able to operate without staff round the clock on Sundays and public holidays. <IMAGE>
