<p>An auto-isolating circuit breaker containing sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) in which each pole has a sealed casing filled with SF6, and in which fixed contacts and arcing contacts are provided, said poles being attached to a single earthed metal beam (4) which is pivotable between two opposite sides of a slide ring (45) which may contain the poles. Said beam (4) contains a pole control shaft (5) connected to a control housing which is rigidly fixed to the beam (4). Said beam rotates to perform the isolation function and said shaft (5) rotates to perform the circuit breaking function.</p> |
