A cabinet-type household appliance - a washing machine, refrigerator, cooker etc - features a mounting body (1) incorporating a quadrangular mounting plate (2) and fastened on the appliance bottom (4). A short cylinder pipe (3), located on the top side of the plate, is featured in a circular opening in the four corner points of the appliance bottom (4) and the longitudinal sides of the mounting plates (2) are aligned in parallel with the rear or the front housing wall of the appliance. The mounting plate (2) is encased by a base elevation (6) connected to the appliance bottom (4) detachably by means of a screw (5). The upper support plane (9) of the elevation (6) rests on the appliance bottom (4), possibly together with additional support planes (13) and a bushing (15). ADVANTAGE - The method facilitates the assembly of appliances with feet that are adjustable in height.
