FRAME SYNCHRONIZING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To realize the recovery of frame synchronism by detecting the bit shift of an HDTV digital signal transmitted according to the 1125/60 high- definition television studio standards and correcting the bit shift within one frame. CONSTITUTION:One-channel synchronism detection circuits 3, 4 implement the frame synchronism detection of parallel data at every channel. A bit shift detection circuit 5 decides the presence of the occurrence of bit shift based on the presence of one-channel synchronism detection and an output timing and bit shift calculation circuits 6, 7 calculate the bit shift. A bit shift generating circuit 8 generates the bit shift by a shifting number within one frame based on the output result of the bit shift calculation circuit and the bit shift deciding circuit and a serial/parallel converter 2 corrects a bit shift by changing the timing of the conversion to recover frame synchronism within one frame.
