PURPOSE:To shorten translation time by analyzing intermediate data outputted by a translation processing part at the time of failing a translation and translating an original sentence halfway, using intermediate data given by a sentence division part dividing the original sentence and instructing a retranslation. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a translation processing part 2 having a function outputting intermediate data at the time of failing a translation and performing a translation halfway, using intermediate data given from a sentence division part 4 and a sentence division part 4 analyzing intermediate data, dividing an original sentence and instructing the translation processing part 2 to perform a retranslation. An intermediate 3 is an area storing processing data at a point of time when a translation processing is failed. The sentence division part 4 is started when the translation processing part 2 fails in the translation processing, divides the original sentence into partial sentences by referring to the intermediate data 3, segments necessary parts from the intermediate data 3 and instructs the translation processing part 2 to perform a retranslation. Therefore, as the retranslation is performed halfway by dividing the original sentence at the inside of the system even if the sentence is one for which the translation is failed, a translation failure rate can be reduced and the translation execution time can be shortened. |
