Control circuit for proportional valve electromagnet - controls proportional magnet directly using rectified mains voltage at approx. 250 volts

The proportional valve has an output amplitude proportional to an electric input signal. The valve is pref. actuated by a proportional magnet (1) which is controlled by varying the voltage or the current by a control signal. The magnet (1) is controlled directly by high voltage, i.e. rectified mains voltage. A control circuit (4) ensures that the coil of the magnet (1) is not overloaded, and esp. that a max. current is not exceeded. ADVANTAGE - Magnet has faster response time. The characteristic frequency of proportional valve can be increased.
