PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of static electricity on the surfaces of electrode substrates due to the exfoliation of protective films from polarizing plates. CONSTITUTION:When polarizing plates 15 are stuck to the opposite faces of upper and lower electrode substrates 11, 12 which hold a liq. crystal between them to produce liq. crystal display substrates, protective films 73 are formed on faces of the polarizing plates 15 reverse to the faces stuck to the substrates 11, 12 with electric conductive films 72 in-between, respectively. After the polarizing plates 15 are stuck to the substrates 11, 12, the protective films 73 are exfoliated while grounding the electric conductive films 72. |
