In a procedure for temporary rapid heating in system containing a low temperature boiler and several radiators or heat exchangers, an outside sensor (7) measures the temperature of the surroundings and after releasing a signal for rapid heating, is switched in parallel with a resistor for a preset period. A circulating pump (9) and the boiler (1) are adjusted to maximum output until the end of the period is reached, after which the system reverts to normal operating conditions. For outside temperatures of between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius, the effective resistance of the sensor and resistor in parallel corresponds to an outside temperature of -20 degrees Celsius. ADVANTAGE - Can easily be integrated into existing central heating systems, fulfilling all technical safety requirements.
