The present invention relates to a device for avoiding spark or arc or discharge of current which is painful for the human body. This discharge forms between the nearest part of the human body and a metal or conducting body when the human body or the metal body are electrically charged. It consists of a solid including a conducting region (1) which is held in the hand, an insulating region (2), a conducting region (3), with which the vehicle is touched. This latter conducting region may include a point (8) which facilitates contact with the car. The conducting regions (1) and (3) are electrically connected by a component which will limit the electric discharge current from the human body onto the vehicle. <IMAGE>
