APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING DECORATIVE BOWS

An apparatus for facilitating the recycling of decorative bows once the adhesive mounting card has been removed. The decorative bows with which this apparatus may be used consist of a length of ribbon secured in the configuration of a bow. The apparatus consists of a card-form body divided by a plurality of cuts into at least two flap-like portions and a connecting portion that connects the flap-like portions. At least one of the cuts defines an opening of sufficient length to accommodate a ribbon width from a decorative bow. The cardform body is made of a resilient material whereby the ribbon is insertable in the opening by temporarily deforming one of the flap-like portions. When positioned in the opening the ribbon is laterally confined by the flap-like portions. The card-form body has one face which is coated with adhesive whereby the card-form body is secured to a package.
