The chassis (3) is connected to a mechanism (4,5) for adjusting the height of the blade guide. This mechanism comprises a bellows (5) surrounding the blade and a control column (4) whose lower free end (6) is rigidly fixed to the external casing (3).Guides (7,8,9) for the lateral faces (10) and/or back of the blade (2) are mounted on the chassis (3). These guides (7,8) comprise two horizontal runners extending on each side of the blade and two inclined runners extending under the horizontal ones. The guides (7,8) are rigidly attached to a vertical retaining plate (19) mounted transversely on the chassis and movable in the longitudinal direction, which allows adjustment of the guides. The retaining plate has knurled wheels (12,13) with screws (14,15) for clamping and locking in position the guides after adjustment. ADVANTAGE - Protects the user from the side of the blade cutting edge.
