The phase connection system for video chrominance and luminance signals includes a first mixer for adding a carrier signal to the chrominance signal to obtain the luminance signal and to obtain a phase error signal, a second mixer adding a signal shifted by 90 deg. from the carrier signal to the chrominance signal to obtain a second phase error signal, a third mixer adding the first error signal to the phase shifted signal, and a fourth mixer adding the second error signal to a further phase shifted version of the second phase error signal. An adding stage combines the outputs of the third and fourth mixers to obtain a phase compensation signal corresponding to the frequency of the second error signal matching the phase difference of the chrominance signal.
