PURPOSE:To obtain the above ink sheet capable of forming a good color image by providing four color ink sheets one of which is an opaque hot-melt ink layer on a base material. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive composed of a polyamide resin is applied to a base material 31 composed of a polyethylene terephthalate film to provide an intermediate adhesive layer 32 and four color thermal transfer ink sheets of yellow, magenta, cyan and black having a hot-melt ink layer 35 are provided on the intermediate adhesive layer 32. One of four color thermal ink sheets is constituted of the hotmelt ink layer 35 composed of opaque ink 33 to produce a medium contrast recording color thermal transfer ink sheet. A filler 34 composed of carbon black is compounded with the ink layer 3. The ink of the thermal transfer ink sheet is heated and melted by selectively heating a plurality of the heating parts on a thermal head on the basis of printing data to be transferred to recording paper. |
