摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a control system for an internal combustion engine with a turbocharger and exhaust gas re-circulating means, the control system being capable of determining as accurate as possible an air quantity sucked into the internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: In an internal combustion engine, particularly, a self-ignition internal combustion engine with a turbocharger and exhaust gas re-circulating means, means 330 is provided for forming an air quantity signal ML on the basis of comparison of turbine power LT with a rotational frequency N, a fuel quantity QK to be injected, an exhaust gas re-circulating signal ARFR and power LV of a compressor. Therefore, since the air quantity sucked to the internal combustion engine is accurately simulated, a sucked air quantity can be obtained even for the internal combustion engine with a turbocharger and exhaust gas re-circulating means without actually using an air quantity sensor.
